What’s Franz Ferdinand’s beef with infographics?
According to Fast Company, the popular tool among PR and marketing pros takes a side jab in the indie rock group’s latest video.
But you know who doesn’t love infographics? Music video director Jonas Odell (and, perhaps by proxy, the band Franz Ferdinand).
Odell recently directed a video for the band’s latest single, “Right Words.” Fast Company sees it as critical of the infotastic art form we all know and love, calling it “a cutting criticism of our infographic-laden world that’s keen to chart-i-fy the nature of human behavior.”
Sure, it’s full of words and infographic-y pie charts and graphs, but couldn’t it be seen as an homage to the infographic?
