Users left in dark after Yahoo email UK goes down
This past weekend Yahoo’s email service in the U.K. went black, and users had to wait for a response from brand managers for hours.
Hindered email access proved to be a big problem for some Yahoo users in the U.K., and brand managers’ lagging response time didn’t do much to ease their frustrations.
Yahoo reps said a third party was responsible for the outage:
Some @YahooMail users are experiencing issues due to an undersea cable cut by a 3rd party. Fix is a few days out. We’ll keep you updated.

To finally address concerns, brand managers also issued a statement to several media outlets, including Mashable, hours after the outage was reported:
