U.S. Army responds to website hack
A military spokesman said the Army took ‘appropriate preventive measures’ to counteract the breach, specifically taking down the website temporarily.
Last week, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management blamed Chinese hackers for a December intrusion that may well have been the largest hack of government data ever, with 4 million employee records compromised.
That was a big black eye on government data security. Yet another one came Monday, when hackers compromised the U.S. Army’s website and wrote anti-military messages.
