The etiquette of following up a pitch
Politeness, patience and a little leg work can really help nudge a reporter toward taking an interest in your story.
Don’t worry. It’s normal for this to occur. Remember, journalists receive hundreds of emails and phone calls a day, and unfortunately, they don’t have time for every pitch. That’s why it is important for you to make the effort and follow up. This is just as important as writing the pitch itself.
