Report: White House asks local paper to edit remarks about First Lady
It was a slow news week, so why wouldn’t the administration officials track down a local paper to—wait a second…
Depends on who you ask.
Gina Channell-Allen, president of the Pleasanton Weekly, told conservative news site The Daily Caller that someone at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue called the paper asking her to “take out part of the story because it reflected poorly on the First Lady.”
The article was a soft feature about President Obama’s Marine One helicopter, and Allen said she complied because “it was not worth making a fuss over.”
