Sidney Alvarez

Sidney Alvarez is a multi-Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, having worked with multiple media affiliates throughout the United States including NBC, CBS, FOX, Warner Brothers, and Univision. Currently he is the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine and the host of the video podcast “The D.O. Pulse.” Alvarez is a 17-year professional in Media & Public Relations and Crisis Communications, serving as a spokesperson in the fields of Education, Energy, Finance, and Workforce Development. Most of his career was spent in New York City helping brands take control of their narratives via the development of podcasts and video storytelling.

Alvarez earned a Master of Science degree in Media Management and Social Strategies from The Parsons New School in New York City and a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting from the University of New Mexico.
