Roderick Cumming

Roderick Cumming is Vice President, Internal Communications for Morneau Shepell, a Toronto-based global HR technology and services company. In this position, Rod is responsible for developing and implementing an internal communications strategy that fosters a culture of open communication, enables organizational change and strengthens employee engagement. Prior to joining Morneau Shepell, Rod led the communications and stakeholder engagement team at a health shared services and IT agency in Toronto. In previous roles, Rod was VP of Outreach and Engagement at the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan, consulted on the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, and held senior communications & public affairs roles at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. From 1998 to 2013 Rod was a member of CIBC's Communications and Public Affairs team where he supported senior executives on their internal and external communications initiatives, as well as significant business projects in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean
