Lauren Love

Lauren Love is a strategic communications professional with over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and higher education sectors. Love currently serves as the Communications Director for the Office of the Vice President for Government Relations at the University of Michigan, where she leads efforts to promote the value of higher education, research, and innovation to key stakeholders, including government entities, alumni, and internal partners.
Previously, Love was a senior media relations and public affairs representative at U-M, managing high-profile institutional news, crisis communication, and broader issues impacting the university. Throughout her career, she has held key communications roles at the University of Notre Dame Law School, the Chicago Urban League, and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, where she was press secretary for Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. Her expertise spans media strategies, social media campaigns, and community outreach. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Public Policy from DePaul University.
