Erika Schneider

Erika Schneider is an assistant professor of public relations at Syracuse University specializing in risk and crisis communications. Her research investigates the effects of message strategies on organizational outcomes and stakeholder perceptions, such as trust and emotions. She teaches courses in social media, campaigns and research, and in 2021, she started the Crisis Communications Club at Syracuse University. Before joining the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Schneider earned a Ph.D. in the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
