Elizabeth Winter

Elizabeth “Liz” Winter is a senior manager on General Motors’ Corporate Affairs team. She is responsible for leading and aligning communications efforts around federal policy impacting the auto industry, economic development, manufacturing investments and supply chain resilience.

Winter joined GM in 2016 as part of an advanced technology communications team focused on the GM’s electric vehicle future. While at GM, she has helped launch products, manage crisis and labor issues, support executives and shape storytelling for an iconic American company. Prior to joining GM, Winter held PR agency positions at both Golin and Edelman supporting major brands, and she held a communications role in state government. She began her career as a journalist.

Winter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University and a public relations certificate from the University of Washington. She is based in the Detroit area.
