Google honors John Lennon on his 70th birthday

To mark what would have been Lennon’s birthday on Saturday, Google replaced its signature logo with a design to celebrate the life of the famous Beatle. The best part of that design? It was a 30-second animated tribute to Lennon set a portion of the song “Imagine.” Good stuff.

Conficker virus is alive—today—and moving through the Web

Remember that nasty computer worm Conficker that was set to devastate the Web on April Fool’s Day? Well it didn’t strike on April 1, but it’s come to life today—April 9—on computers around the world. Problem is experts aren’t sure what, if anything, the virus will do. All they know is Conficker started communicating with its host computer last night. Be careful.
