In meetings, 33 percent of you check sports info on social media
An infographic offers five fascinating facts on the intersection of sports and social media.
Social media has heightened the ability to talk about and consume sports info around the clock—to the delight of many and chagrin of a few (wives and girlfriends, mainly).
A recent study from GMR Marketing sought to determine the impact of social media on sports. Here are a few highlights from the study:
• While watching a game, 83 percent of respondents say they check sports social media (63 percent while they’re in the stadium);
• 68 percent said they love, like or are indifferent to marketing messages or sponsored tweets from sports personalities;
• One third of respondents check sports social media during a meeting.
