Hospital branding finds fertile ground with sports teams and arenas
Naming rights and business partnerships help health care facilities integrate with their communities. Score one for promoting health, wellness and patient education.
You don’t have to be a fan of the Denver Broncos, New York Giants or Houston Texans to cheer for a good cause. Professional sports franchises across the U.S. have been forming creative partnerships with local hospitals that have far-reaching effects on health and wellness.
For example, officials from the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center announced Barnabas Health as the “Official Health Care Partner” of the hockey team and the sports and entertainment arena in Newark. A press release last week said Prudential Center’s practice facility has been renamed the Barnabas Health Hockey House. A new logo was unveiled as well.
