Experts urge transparency, fluidity in AI policies
Being transparent helps demystify the tech, inviting greater brand trust.

As AI becomes more pervasive, organizations must craft clear policies that emphasize transparency and align with business objectives.
At Ragan’s Future of Communications conference in Austin, Texas, Sarah Vasquez, senior manager of policy and corporate communications at Mozilla, stressed the importance of maintaining open conversations and crafting team-specific AI use policies.
“The thoughtfulness we put into how we use AI today will set the precedent for decades to come,” Vasquez said.
Alleviating fears through open collaboration
Communications and marketing teams aren’t the only ones using AI – and there’s much they can learn from how others are incorporating the technology. Vasquez’s co-presenter, Vanessa Neurohr, VP of customer success at Muck Rack, said teams can ease fears about AI adoption by having “very open and collaborative conversations” about its use.
Neurohr recommends sharing AI use cases internally.
