Chicago Cubs unveil new mascot, draw immediate ire
Fans just aren’t pleased with Clark the Cub, the team’s first official mascot in its modern history.
• “Dumb. Just dumb.” • “My son is 8 and he thinks it’s stupid.” • “He reminds me of Poochie from ‘The Simpsons.'” • “I have endured a lot being a Cubs fan for 48 seasons and have never been embarrassed for them until I saw this mascot. The Cubs don’t care about the product on the field, only the money that they make. This proves it. They used a focus group to select this dreck.”
Meanwhile, on Twitter:
It’s been 10 minutes and I already hate Clark the Cub more than any cartoon mascot ever created. #backwardscap @Cubs pic.twitter.com/1005WxiTE8

Is Clark the Cub really from 2014? He looks like a sticker they’d pack in with VHS copies of FernGully.
