Study: 90 percent of moms are worried about the economy

A study from CafeMom, a website described as “by moms, for moms,” shows a significant decrease in the fulfillment of family matriarchs. The site’s quarterly MomIndex fell to a “C” grade for overall life satisfaction, which is based on responses to questions about self, kids, relationships, money, and the larger world. A naked woman adorned the homepage Wednesday of the Web site ChicagoGOP.com , which is owned by Tom Swiss, an elected Republican committeeman and the political director for the Chicago Republican Party. The top three brands in the world, according to InterBrand’s annual survey of best global brands , remained the same from 2009 to 2010. Coca-Cola ranked No. 1, followed by IBM and Microsoft. Brand Republic   noted that Apple’s brand value surged 37 percent in the last year; however, the tech giant registered at No. 17 on the list, a mere three spots up from 2009. Hey, lovers of vintage and kitch. This one-minute ad, which first aired in 1959 during the Mickey Mouse Club, features a hypnotic jingle with lyrics like, “Purses, hats, and gloves galore; and all the gadgets gals adore.” Back then Barbie cost a cool $3. Correction: Twitter and LinkedIn are worth BILLIONS, not millions

In Friday’s PR Daily , there was a blurb about the valuations of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. It was correctly stated that Facebook is worth an estimated $11.5 billion. The blurb also said Twitter and LinkedIn are worth $1.4 million and $1.3 million, respectively. This is wrong. They are worth $1.4 billion and $1.3 billion , respectively. Sorry for the error. Wine and cheese with The Washington Post, reporters optional

Critics slammed The Washington Post this summer for attempting to host salons, where high-paying corporate sponsors could have off-the-record access to reporters.
