A tweet too far? Execution of inmate announced on Twitter

You no doubt heard about the Utah inmate who was executed by firing squad. The announcement of his death came from Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff — from his Twitter account. “I just gave the go ahead to Corrections Director to proceed with Gardner’s execution. May God grant him the mercy he denied his victims,” Shurtleff  tweeted from iPhone. Firing squads, Twitter, and iPhones — we certainly live in interesting times.
