One Big AI Idea: Transform content for other purposes
Write once and re-use many times.
If you’re a good writer, AI won’t replace you. The world still needs fresh takes, new data and the unique flair that AI will never be able to provide.
But once you’ve written your unique piece of content, AI is awfully handy for reformatting that content for other purposes. For instance, take an article for your intranet or brand journalism site and make it a great LinkedIn post or newsletter.
I asked ChatGPT to take this link to a recent story on social media updates and turn it into a fun, playful LinkedIn post that urged people to click the link. I asked the bot to “think like an influencer.” Here’s what it gave me:
🎉 Social media is leveling up this week!
Reddit is flexing AI power with Reddit Answers, Instagram’s broadcast channels are getting more interactive, and Threads is making it easier than ever to find what you’re looking for.
Change is the only constant in the social game—are you keeping up? 💻✨
Is it perfect? No. A few too many emojis for my taste and it used the non-AP-compliant Oxford comma. But it does accurately pick out a few of the biggest tidbits from the piece and end with a provocative CTA that could entice people to click. With just a few minutes, you’d have a usable LinkedIn post.
But what else can it do? I next asked it to use the same story to create an email aimed at CCOs who are using social media for thought leadership. Here’s what ChatGPT wrote:

This one needs a bit more work. The use case it described for Reddit Answers may not actually be useful in that way. It’s also filled with businessy jargon like “leverage” and its invitation to “connect” makes the entire thing feel like a sales email. But overall? A good starting point that can be quickly edited to fit your needs.
Give it a whirl today to repurpose your existing content.
