Jennifer Beam is the director of advocacy social and digital media at AARP, where she leads the strategic development of AARP’s national advocacy social and digital campaigns around key priority issues including Social Security, Medicare, prescription drugs and family caregiving. Jennifer champions the power of AARP’s dedicated volunteers and activists, centering and sharing their personal experiences and stories to drive social change. Her efforts led to an award-winning campaign featuring Larry, a retired law enforcement officer who was forced to sell his home in order to afford his medication – a campaign that ultimately moved the needle and led to a historic win in AARP’s fight for lower prescription drug costs. An accomplished communications expert and advocate with more than 20 years of experience, she's passionate about engaging and empowering Americans 50+ to take action.
