Yahoo staffs up; Politico loses another writer; AP layoffs 11

Michael Calderone, the media columnist at Politico , is leaving the Web site for Yahoo News’ original content project, reports The Huffington Post . He joins several other high-profile writers who have joined Yahoo to form its network of news blogs. Calderone’s defection marks another blow to Politico , which lost three staffers last week.
