Jim Romenesko resigns from Poynter
After 12 years, the man behind the popular media blog steps down following concern over ‘incomplete attribution.’
Yesterday, Romenesko tweeted that Poynter had accepted his resignation amid criticism over his attribution methods.
Yikes.
Poynter said Romenesko’s blog had shown “a pattern of incomplete attribution.” But many believe Poynter is in the wrong, something Poynter director Julie Moos seems oddly comforted by:
“I’m relieved that many readers and sources understood Jim’s intent to credit properly and felt fairly treated by him.”
