Speaking of social networks, location-based service Foursquare just reached its 20 millionth user, hitting 2 billion check-ins and more than doubling in size since last June.
And what’s mention of digital media without talk of Facebook’s recently acquired Instagram. Turns out, there’s a slight issue with the photo sharing service that may have eluded Facebook, and it deals with Instagram’s unfortunately popular use for glorifying anorexia.
Body image is always a sensitive topic, especially when it comes to so many airbrushed and digitally enhanced models in the media. That’s probably why a photo shared on Reddit called “The power of makeup” has sparked such a widespread discussion.
