Samsung’s attempt at damage control backfires
When a Galaxy S4 owner posted a video that showed charring and bubbles from the phone catching fire, the company offered a replacement, if he took the video down. Instead, he made another video.
Instead of signing the agreement, ghostlyrich made another video, in which he read the agreement (again, some NSFW language): The first video is at about 455,000 views. The second is at about 761,000. As of Monday evening, the story was one of the top items on Reddit. Samsung hasn’t issued any official, public statement regarding ghostlyrich’s videos. It has neither confirmed nor denied sending the letter. The Daily Dot offers this advice:
