Starbucks gets cold shoulder in iced beverage lawsuit
One Chicago woman is insisting that Starbucks’ iced teas and coffees contain too much ice, and she’s taking the brand to court. Here’s how brand managers responded.
First, consumers went after Starbucks lattes, now the brand is being slammed for serving too much ice.
The coffee chain is facing a lawsuit for underfilling its iced coffee, iced tea and chilled blended drinks just a month after another lawsuit alleging underfilled lattes made headlines.
The complaint filed by Chicago woman Stacy Pincus, states:
Plaintiff alleges that…Starbucks has engaged in the practice of misrepresenting the amount of Cold Drink a customer will receive. As a result of this practice, Starbucks’ Cold Drinks contain significantly less product than advertised, by design and corporate practice and procedure.
