. Perhaps it's knowing that the show’s most articulate news anchor—played by Emmy winner Jeff Daniels
—will always conjure up visions of the notorious toilet scene from “Dumb and Dumber”
(something he’s vowed to top in the film’s upcoming sequel
In any case, I’m left to fill a void in my Sunday night television programming until the show’s (still unconfirmed) third season begins in 2014. Meanwhile, CNN seeks to fill a void in its own newsroom for that timeframe.
Turner Broadcasting is accepting applications for a spring 2014 public relations intern
with the network. Much like the roles Sorkin’s program attempts to portray, CNN requires that candidates have a healthy interest in the news and be able to adjust to its fast-paced cycle. Responsibilities include compiling and confirming media lists, building reports, updating talent and executive bios, posting and editing the department’s press site, drafting press releases, and following social media conversations that affect the network.
