Buccaneers sign free agent after tweet, garner positive PR
Tampa Bay’s NFL team released its kicker and brought back Connor Barth, and fans applauded the move.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released the rookie kicker just four games into the season after he shanked a variety of field goal and extra point attempts.
It got so bad that during the Bucs’ contest against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, the team’s former kicker, Connor Barth, tweeted the following:

The Bucs were listening. The team brought in Barth for a tryout Monday and signed him to a deal on Tuesday. The price was right at $2.75 million over two years.
Barth’s bold social media move paid off—and not just for the kicker. The team, which is struggling and stumbling through yet another rebuilding year, clearly listened to—and delighted—its fan base with the move.
