Subway fires two workers in latest fast-food photo follies

The sandwich chain responded with dismissals to one photo of a man putting his genitals on a loaf of bread, which the worker said was taken ‘at home,’ and another of what’s apparently frozen urine.

Consider these two new contenders from a Subway restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. An anonymous tipster sent The Huffington Post photos from the two employees’ Instagram and Twitter accounts of sandwich bread they apparently shaped into penis shapes, frozen urine, and, topping them all, one of the men putting his genitals on a loaf of sandwich bread.

The caption on the photo, which has been deleted from Instagram, said, “My name is @ianjett and I will be your sandwich artist today.”

The employee in the photo, who HuffPo names as Ian Jett, says the picture was taken at home, not at work.

“This isn’t something I’d ever do at Subway,” Jett said. “It was totally a joke.”

His excuse wasn’t good enough for Subway, apparently. He and the other employee, the one with the frozen pee, who HuffPo reports is named Cameron Boggs, were fired Monday. Subway’s PR department issued this statement in conjunction with the news, trademark symbol and all:
