20 restaurant chains given failing grades in antibiotics report

Among the ranks of the chains that failed in a Natural Resources Defense Council and Friends of the Earth study were Wendy’s, Denny’s, Burger King and Domino’s.

Right-thinking folks generally understand that many fast food and chain restaurants serve us terrible food that should be consumed quite sparingly or not at all. Some of these restaurants should be frequented even less than others due to higher antibiotic usage in their food.

PR pros for some major chains are likely doing some damage control after a new report from Friends of the Earth and the Natural Resources Defense Council graded 25 fast food and fast casual restaurants on their antibiotics policies.

At issue is the potential creation of super bacteria, which can result when you kill all the weak stuff.
