The World Cup may be gearing up today, but even obscure American soccer teams need a well-designed logo to represent their team, city and fans.
Lousiville City FC learned this when it released the following logo to its supporters:
The team’s de facto fan club, the Coopers
, created a hashtag to talk about how much they hated it: #LCFCLogo
To its credit, the team realized its mistake and announced a contest
to replace the original, which was called “ugly” and “amateur” (with particular chiding for the use of a Clipart fleur de lis).
