Powerful documentary-style video showcases health network’s care model

‘One Patient’s Journey’ inspired staff and empowered patients.

Using documentary-style filmmaking (including professional-grade cinematography), Access Community Health Network told the story of a single mother in “One Patient’s Journey,” an eight-minute video that’s taken first place in the “Video” category of Ragan’s 2017 Health Care PR & Marketing Awards.

Margarita Knox was a victim of crushing poverty and abuse with two small children, but she ultimately triumphed and took charge of her and her children’s health and wellness thanks to the ACCESS model of care and support. “One Patient’s Journey” is deeply personal and connects with viewers at a very emotional level while also conveying the benefits available to single mothers. 

Online, it has earned nearly 2,500 impressions (via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), exceeding its goal of 2,000.
