Federal government, news media least favored institutions in U.S.
Americans love small business and don’t seem to mind large companies. They’re not fond of CEOs, the federal government and, to an extent, the media.
From the Public Affairs Pulse survey:
“Many think CEOs are paid too much, while regular workers and lower-level managers are paid less than they deserve. And three-quarters (77 percent) feel there is too much power in the hands of a few large companies.”
The news gets better: 61 percent of Americans hold a favorable view of major companies, and 90 percent have a favorable view of small businesses.
