Another bonehead tweet from a Pittsburgh Steeler

Has James Harrison suffered too many blows to the noggin? The linebacker slammed the NFL in a tweet—the last thing the league needs as its PR woes continue.

What’s that? You’ve never tried it?

Well, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison did exactly that via Twitter last night—and it’s indicative of a brewing PR problem the NFL has on its hands.

After NFL owners passed more stringent rules for defenders who are paid to deliver big hits, Harrison tweeted the following:

“I’m absolutely sure now after this last rule change that the people making the rules at the NFL are idiots.”

Some have even dubbed one particular rule that targets repeat offenders, “The Steelers Rule.”

“lol im sorry that im not sorry we hit 2 hard,” Harrison’s teammate LaMarr Woodley tweeted.
