Next big thing in social media? Storify gets the NY Times treatment
The site, which launched on Monday, filters the social Web for news items. What does it mean for marketing and PR pros?
One of the first articles in The New York Times to focus on Twitter as a communications vehicle wasn’t published until nearly a year after the site had launched.
Not so for Storify.
The startup, which launches to the public today, was featured in the Times this past weekend under the headline, “Filtering the Social Web to Present News Items.”
The Times explains:
“Using the Storify website, people can find and piece together publicly available content from Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, and other sites. They can also add text and embed the resulting collages of content on their own sites.”
